The Sanatan Mandir web site is designed to serve as an information resource to members and visitors of Sanatan Mandir Atlanta temple and to the community at large.  This web site provides means to contact the Mandir Personnel and assistants.  There may also be pages where personal information may be requested.  Because of this, we want you to know what we do with any personal information you give us through this web site -- and what we won't do with that information. 

We will use your personal information only in the ways specified when it was collected or as outlined in this privacy policy.  We will not subsequently change the way in which we use your personal information, unless you consent to the new usage. Questions about the Sanatan Mandir Privacy Policies can be mailed or e-mailed to the addresses in the Contact section under "Mandir" on left hand side.

How We Might Request Personal Information from You

The information we receive depends on what you do when you visit this web site.  Some of the ways this web site may collect information include:

What We Do

1. Information gathered from fill-in forms may be kept in a protected database on the web hosting server for later retrieval or immediately sent via e-mail to the people responsible for collating and analyzing that information.
2. Information gathered from fill-in forms on the Sanatan Mandir web site will be sent to the Sanatan Mandir Executive Committee in Atlanta area, Georgia.
3. We may use e-mail addresses to notify people of upcoming activities at the Mandir.  All email addresses will be held in a protected area on the web hosting server.  Such e-mail lists are available only to select Sanatan Mandir Executive Committee.  You will be able to "opt-out" at any time.
4. In certain instances, information you submit to Sanatan Mandir may be used to inform you of other Mandir policies, events, or news.
5. This web site does collect IP addresses in the web server log.  We do simple traffic analysis to understand peak traffic times, traffic volume, etc.  Our goal is to improve your experience on the site.

What We Don't Do

1. We do not sell, trade or rent personal information gathered from this web site to any third party.
2. We do not "trap" e-mail addresses from unsuspecting visitors to this web site.
3. We do not release personal information about any visitor to this web site unless first requesting permission from that person.
4. Personal contact information (email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, etc.) will not be posted on the web site without that person's express permission.
5. Published images to the Mandir website will never include names of adults or children (first or last) or any other personal information unless further verbal or written permission is obtained prior to use. 
6. If you wish to opt-out of having your photo published on the Mandir website, you may contact us using the Contact link on the left hand side.

1. Public Forums
   This site may make chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users in the future. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
2. Security
   This web site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.  If you have specific security concerns you should contact the Mandir administrators directly.
3. Guidelines respecting children
   We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.  If we learn that we have collected personal information on a child through this web site, we will delete that information from our systems.  We encourage parents to go online with their kids.  Here are a few tips to help make a child's online experience safer:
   • Teach kids never to give personal information unless supervised by a parent or responsible adult.  This includes name, address, telephone number, school, etc.
   • Know the sites your kids are visiting and which sites are appropriate.
